Study and Implementation of Image Fusion Methods

چکیده
AbstractImage fusion became very important in today research. As the images were being used without the required information contained in it. And thus more than one image was being used to produce the actual information that is to be produced. The fusion is the process of combining two images used to produce one image, which contains more information than the source images. Fused images provide the observer with a more reliable and more complete representation of the scene. Many studies have examine the performance in specific fusion methods over the individual input bands, yet few comparison studies have been conducted to examine which fusion method is preferable over another. We discuss the implementation of some image fusion algorithms – the basic fusion algorithms. And also compared the methods for their performance and measures the amount of information in the image. Keywords-Image fusion, Averaging method, Principal component analysis, Image quality matrices.
